Youth Club Music
A trip down Memory Lane (inspired by an article in On The Scene Magazine plus the Handbag Special on the Soul Connection)
Let us take you back to the days of our youth when we first heard these different sounding records that got us hooked onto the scene
If you are from Warrington you would have first heard them at the Bell Hall (DJ Pete Rigby - still going strong bless him) the Coop Hall/Rainbow Room
(DJ Dave Warwick - went on to be a TV producer) before graduating to the Lion and the Carlton Club for the heavier stuff - but every town will have their equivalent
I must have heard these literally hundreds of times and yet never tire of hearing them
Virtually all the venues on the scene today wouldn't be seen dead playing them (except the Alliance Club - the one on the last Saturday of the month)
but we at WSC make no apologies for featuring them here - have a listen you may find you still like some of them
